Questions? You’re Covered
What documents should I bring to my DOT exam?
Bring a valid driver’s license, a list of current medications, any corrective lenses or hearing aids you use, and documentation for any ongoing medical conditions (e.g., diabetes, sleep apnea, heart disease).
How long is my DOT certification valid?
Most DOT medical certificates are valid for up to 2 years. However, if you have a medical condition that requires monitoring, you may receive a shorter-term certification, such as for 1 year or 3 months.
Can I get same-day results?
Yes, in most cases we provide same-day results and issue your Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT card) immediately after a successful exam.
What happens if I don’t pass the exam?
If a condition disqualifies you temporarily, our examiner will explain the issue and guide you on steps to correct it. You can return for a re-evaluation once the condition is managed or cleared.
How do I schedule a re-exam?
You can call our office directly or use our online contact form to request a follow-up exam. We’ll work with you to get re-certified as quickly as possible.
